CVA grain loading facility groundbreaking: A large crowd of fifty residents, stakeholders, Government officials, and Central Valley Ag officials gathered on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the future CVA Courtland Hub one mile west of the Courtland corner on Highway 36 for a groundbreaking of the new site. Preparation for the project has been two years in the making and has been a collaboration between CVA, Republic County Commissioners, Republic County Economic Development, the City of Courtland, and other partners.
CVA officials note it as their largest-ever investment, totaling $55 Million in company history. The site is perfectly positioned to take advantage of both highway and rail access. This will allow grain from our County and regional producers to be shipped easily to domestic and international markets. Not only will this project increase logistical efficiencies, but it will also drive better commodity prices for the region.
Handouts from the event stated, “Central Valley Ag is excited to build a new CVA grain loading facility and agronomy plant in north central Kansas, a strategic location for its member-owners in Courtland and surrounding communities. We are ensuring that we will be able to serve the producers both today and for many years to come.”
