The Republic County Historical Society Museum is open Monday to Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with special tour arrangements available. The museum’s new addition features the Smithsonian’s Voices and Votes: Democracy in America exhibit, along with local displays honoring A.Q. Miller, Jim Richardson, Greta Grandstedt, and Miriam Turner. A new genealogy resource page is available for research. Monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month—now with upgraded seating! The museum preserves the history of Republic County and its towns, offering a glimpse into the area’s rich past.
