Payton Runft is the owner of Courtland’s newest main street business Salon 417. Payton worked as a stylist in Manhattan for two years before remodeling and opening her shop in June of 2019. Payton specializes in haircutting for men, women, and kids, as well as facial waxing and makeup services. She loves coloring all types of hair. And if you are lucky enough to spend some time in Courtland, you will see some of the bold colors she has created.
Salon 417 has a tanning bed and offers tanning services year-round. Call her today to inquire about her single session and multi-session tanning packages. With summer just around the corner, there is no better time to start on your tan to avoid the spring sunburn.
Payton has completed intensive education with Pureology and Redken products and these two brands are the primary styling products she uses at Salon 417.
One of the many entrepreneurial successes in our communities, Payton is a graduate of Pike Valley. With a little help from the Swedish-American State Bank and lots of local support, she was able to open Salon 417 at 21 years of age.
I think Payton said it best when she told me that small businesses in this community really depend on each other and the culture we have created where we’re all reaching for the common goal of improving our community and being positive and supportive of each other along the way. A big purple, pink and green hair salute to Payton Runft and Salon 417 for trailblazing the next generation of Main Street business owners.
